Bešlagić: Đukić will have to serve his sentence, in Serbia or Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - It is a day of mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the Alley of Youth in Tuzla, families, friends, and members of numerous delegations laid flowers at the eternal resting place of 71 people killed in 1995 at Tuzla's Kapija. On this occasion, Selim Bešlagić, former mayor of Tuzla, spoke to FTV.

"The fact that a verdict exists, and a war criminal walks free - that is a disgrace to both sides - the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina," he said.

He states that there is no cooperation between the states.

"I think that what is happening in Serbia today, they will experience a catharsis and that Đukić will serve the sentence he received at the Court of BiH, either in Serbia or in BiH," Bešlagić believes.

An hour before noon at Tuzla's Kapija, the commemorative marking of May 25 began, the day when in 1995, 71 young men and women were killed by a shell fired from the positions of the Army of Republika Srpska, and over a hundred were more or less seriously injured.
