Belgrade Media Falsely Claim Bihać Residents and Western Services Will Cause Riots in Banja Luka

Tensions are rising. The enemy is internal. And it has nothing to do with Serbs, but Bosniaks are causing problems, write Večernje novosti from Belgrade.

- Serbian security services have received alarming intelligence data about possible unrest at political rallies announced for Saturday in Banja Luka by both the authorities and the opposition in RS. As "Novosti" has learned, a group of extremist Bosniaks from the Bihać region and hooligans from fan groups, with logistical support from certain parts of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, are planning to cause riots at the rally and counter-rally and destabilize RS.

Our well-informed sources have conveyed to us that some Western services are behind this scenario, who would use the unrest and any police reaction to politically discredit the current authorities in Banja Luka. This inflammatory plan would later serve as a trigger for the delegitimization of RS within BiH, thereby intensifying the constant efforts towards revising the Dayton Agreement and gradually abolishing RS, the paper writes.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić also warned that unrest in Banja Luka could jeopardize the survival of RS, destabilize BiH, and put Serbia in a very difficult situation.

- I have called on all key political actors in RS to resolve their differences peacefully. I asked them to consider the dangers of unrest with full responsibility. It is necessary to avoid the shedding of Serbian or any other blood at all costs.
Otherwise, two protests have been announced for Saturday in Banja Luka, one organized by the opposition under the motto "Let's Free Srpska" and another, organized by the RS authorities, under the motto "With Heart for Srpska - Stop Treason".

- We do not want to accept the dictatorship of Sarajevo – said RS Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović on this occasion.
