Belgrade is (not) interfering: Politicians from RS to attend lineup on Thursday with Nikolić and Vučić

The meeting of the President of the Republic of Serbia and the Prime Minister, Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić, which began tonight around 8:30 PM in the building of the General Secretariat of the President in Belgrade, ended after two hours, Serbian media report, as reported by the Patria News Agency.

A meeting between Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić with politicians from the smaller BiH entity has been scheduled for Thursday.

The conclusions of the meeting were announced to journalists by the head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dačić, who, along with the Minister of the Interior, Nebojša Stefanović, attended the talks.

Dačić told reporters that Nikolić had invited Vučić for consultations regarding the situation in the region, i.e., "regarding certain decisions concerning BiH and the Republika Srpska.".

"State leadership figures later joined the meeting, the situation concerning security and regional stability was analyzed in detail. Our vital national and state interests were considered. Measures have been agreed upon and are being taken to protect our interests. Citizens of Serbia can be assured and know that the security and stability of our country, and I hope in the region as well, will not be threatened," said Dačić.

He added that it was agreed at the session that Nikolić and Vučić would hold a meeting with politicians from RS to consider the current situation and possible further steps.

"I want to reiterate that we are interested and it is in everyone's interest to preserve security and stability in the region," Dačić stated.
