Belgrade: New protests in front of the Presidency of Serbia building at 11:55

BELGRADE, (Patria) - The multi-hour blockade of the RTS building in Belgrade lasted almost until midnight on Saturday when Boško Obradović, the leader of Dveri, asked those present to disperse and called on them to gather on Sunday at 11:55 in front of the Presidency of Serbia building, where Aleksandar Vučić will hold a press conference regarding the break-in at the RTS building. Obradović also announced a new gathering in front of the Public Service building at 19:30 if the appearance of opposition representatives or protest organizers on the Second Dnevnik is not allowed.

The director of Radio-Television of Serbia, Dragan Bujošević, said that RTS employees were prevented from doing their jobs professionally. "All our teams were blocked inside the building. I apologize to all employees, people from the technical department, production, and news program that neither we nor the state enabled them to do their jobs. Tonight, these protests have lost their legitimacy," Bujošević said.

Around 8 p.m., participants of the "One of Five Million" protest, together with opposition leaders, entered the RTS building. Members of the Gendarmerie and the Special Unit removed the demonstrators, and after some time, also the opposition leaders who wanted to be allowed to address the public on the RTS program. The demonstrators chanted: Arrest Vučić, He's finished, He's a thief...

The news of the break-in at the public radio and television service of Serbia was reported by leading world media, stating that the protests, which have been ongoing for almost four months, have escalated.
