Bećirović's Cabinet: There was no insistence on excluding Vranješ from the visit to Zagreb

(Patria) - BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović will meet with Croatian President Zoran Milanović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković in Zagreb on Thursday.

As reported by media in RS during the day, and confirmed by the BiH Ambassador to Croatia Aleksandar Vranješ himself, Bećirović allegedly requested that he be excluded from the protocol of tomorrow's visit.

Bećirović's cabinet reacted to such information.

"The statements that there was an insistence on excluding the ambassador from the protocol of his visit to the Republic of Croatia are untrue. Dealing with ethnic, 'blood counts' is inherent to the subverters of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is not appropriate for professional conduct. Instead of presenting untrue and arbitrary information, it would be more appropriate for him to refrain from unauthorized, irresponsible, and undiplomatic actions and unfounded statements, which he has made in recent weeks regarding state property. The ambassador's statement 'that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a constituent state community' that does not have state property is scandalous. Such scandalous statements indicate that Ambassador Vranješ does not respect the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is particularly concerning that the ambassador has degraded the constitutional position of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which only shows that he clearly does not know the constitutional-legal system of our country," reads the official statement from Bećirović's cabinet, signed by Alija Kožljak.

They add that the visit of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović is of a working nature, and a representative of the BiH Embassy in the Republic of Croatia is participating in the delegation.

The Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, previously reacted to all of this, stating for SRNA that BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović's insistence on excluding the authorized ambassador to Croatia, Aleksandar Vranješ, from the protocol of tomorrow's visit to Zagreb, was due to the fact that he did not like his nationality.

Cvijanović adds that this is just one example of the attitude of Bosniak politicians towards BiH, which they allegedly protect as a supposedly common state.

"It is an unprecedented precedent in the diplomatic practice of BiH for a member of the BiH Presidency to insist that an authorized BiH ambassador be excluded from the protocol of his visit because his nationality does not suit him," Aleksandar Vranješ told Večernji list, emphasizing that it is obvious that the cabinet of the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency is dealing with 'counting blood cells' in diplomatic missions, which speaks only of the degree of 'Serbophobia and chauvinism'.
