Sarajevo National Theatre Ballet to perform in Belgrade

The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia, Lazar Mirkić, met with the Minister of Culture and Information of Serbia, Vladan Vukosavljević, on Tuesday.

The meeting was held to discuss concrete proposals for improving cultural cooperation between BiH and Serbia, which, the interlocutors agreed, is of great importance in connecting people and deepening the friendly relations between our two countries.

As the first concrete step in intensifying cultural cooperation, the organization of a performance by the Sarajevo National Theatre Ballet in Belgrade during this year was proposed. Such an event, the interlocutors agreed, would open doors for many future, similar events and performances, both in Serbia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Mirkić also took the opportunity to emphasize that the level of relations and closeness between the two countries indicates the need to open a cultural representation of BiH in Belgrade. It would be of great importance for BiH to have its cultural center in the heart of Belgrade, where, as Ambassador Mirkić said, "our country could present its culture and art, thus making a significant contribution to improving the bilateral relations between the two countries," reports Patria.
