Jarčedoli Street, from the substation towards Popov Gaj, 810 meters in length, has been completely repaired and asphalted, and four new retaining walls have been built, with a total length of 118 meters. Two more walls will be built soon.
The street asphalting project was financed by the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo and the Cantonal Ministry of Transport, through the Directorate of Roads of Sarajevo Canton, in the amount of approximately 158,100 KM. Given that the street has insufficient width in certain sections, it was decided to build retaining walls as part of the project to widen the street. The first wall, 55 meters long, was financed by the Directorate of Roads of KS, while the other three were financed by the Municipality of Stari Grad with an amount of about 32,500 KM.
The Service for Investments, Planning, and Analysis confirmed that the Municipality financed the construction of three reinforced concrete retaining walls, 18, 10, and 35 meters long. We remind you that the second part of Jarčedoli Street in Popov Gaj was reconstructed in October last year. One retaining wall, 24 meters long, was also built in this section. After that, the street was asphalted for a length of 355 meters and a width of four and a half to five meters, and the Municipality allocated about 113,900 KM for the works. Thus, a total of more than 1,100 meters of Jarčedoli Street has been asphalted to date.
