Aleksandar Vučić claims he has evidence of actions against Serbia in Macedonia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that employees from the Serbian embassy in Skopje were recalled for consultations in Belgrade due to "a sufficient number of obtained evidence from intelligence agencies about offensive actions against Serbian bodies and institutions," writes the Patria agency.

Vučić said that Serbia must protect its interests, but will strive to build good relations with Macedonia.

The Serbian president emphasized that there is also foreign influence in all of this, but he does not mean Russia.

- It is up to us to have our people prepared and ready. There will be some changes in our staff to protect our friendship with the Macedonians, and also how to behave in the new environment. We must learn to act in a new environment that did not exist a few months ago. We will wait for the decision on how the Albanians will proceed with the attempt to admit Kosovo to UNESCO. We will see how Skopje and Podgorica will react to that – said Vučić.

Macedonian media report that Serbia recalled embassy staff in Skopje because it learned that Macedonia would propose the admission of Kosovo to UNESCO. Macedonia voted for Kosovo's admission to UNESCO two years ago, while Prime Minister Zoran Zaev stated in May that Macedonia would be neutral in the next vote.
