Aleksandar Vučić again disrespects the territorial integrity of BiH

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, held his first address to the nation since taking office.

Vučić spoke about Serbia's relations with its closest neighbors, topics related to Kosovo, BiH, as well as overall world relations and Serbia's position on the geopolitical scene.

During his address to the nation, Vučić tried to put himself exclusively in the spotlight. Analysts, after his presentation, stated that little of what is good in Serbia is his merit, Vučić emphasized that it is exclusively his achievement, while others are to blame for all the problems.

Vučić pointed out that before he became Prime Minister of Serbia, 86 countries in the world recognized Kosovo as an independent state, while only seven countries have done so since he took over as Prime Minister, and later as President.

This even caused mockery among some political analysts, who pointed out that the only reason for this is that almost all major world countries have already recognized Kosovo, and that others will soon do so, but when they find out that Serbia and Kosovo even exist in the world.

- I swore an oath to the Constitution and I will respect the Constitution, but those who criticize are not fighters for Serbian interests, but fighters are those who can tell the people the truth. When you talk about who has done more for our people... When did Republika Srpska have greater support? In every sense. And what has been done for the Serbian people in Montenegro? It has led to us building a Serbian House in Podgorica today – said Vučić.

Vučić thus publicly stated that Republika Srpska has the greatest support from Serbia in the last twenty years, although only a week ago, during an official visit to Sarajevo, he claimed that Serbia is a sincere friend of BiH and respects the country's integrity. If he boasts about supporting one entity within the state, how can we then talk about respecting the territorial integrity of BiH.

The Serbian president announced that he will speak with US President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly session and that he will invite him for an official visit to Serbia. He expressed hope that Trump will be the first US president since Gerald Ford to visit Serbia.

Vučić got carried away a bit here too, because Ford never visited Serbia, but rather the former Yugoslavia, which is a completely different story.

Former Serbian President Boris Tadić called Vučić's address a new media circus.

The much-announced spectacular address to the nation was filled with well-known messages and self-praise.

Vučić said nothing new. He only confirmed that he is a man who talks a lot and boasts, but does little of substance.
