Albin Kurti assumes office as Prime Minister of Kosovo

PRISTINA, (Patria) - In a ceremony accompanied by the security force guard orchestra, Albin Kurti assumed the office of Prime Minister of Kosovo, with the position handed over by the deputy of former Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli. This was followed by the first session of the government, led by Kurti.

The Kosovo parliament voted on Monday for a new government to be led by Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti.

The new government will have 15 ministries, two of which have been assigned to the Serbian List. The new government will be led by Self-Determination leader Albin Kurti, while the deputy prime ministers will be Avdullah Hoti from the Democratic League of Kosovo and Haki Abazi from Self-Determination.

From the ranks of the Serbian List in the Pristina government are Dalibor Jevtić, Minister for Returns and Communities, and Ivan Milojević, Minister for Regional Development.

The proposed ministers have taken the oath.

Vjosa Osmani from the Self-Determination movement has been elected as the new president of the Kosovo Assembly.
