The parliamentary group of Hashim Thaçi's party (DPK) has submitted a request to the Assembly of Kosovo for the adoption of the "Resolution on the genocide of Serbs against Albanians during the 1999 conflict", reports the Patria news agency.
With this document, Thaçi's party practically announces the initiation of proceedings against Belgrade before the International Court of Justice in The Hague:
-The Assembly obliges the Government of Kosovo to initiate all political and legal processes (domestic and international) related to establishing justice for the genocide and war crimes committed by Serbia against the people and property of Kosovo and clarifying the fate of those missing during 1999, the DPK proposal reads.
If the text receives a majority in parliament, which is likely, it is not excluded that Pristina will even raise the issue of war reparations, which Thaçi spoke about a month ago!
This move has been interpreted in Belgrade as a new obstruction to the Brussels dialogue, while representatives of the "Serbian List" understand Thaçi's maneuver as a message that their return to Kosovo institutions – is not welcome, writes Belgrade's Novosti.
