Today, Dragan Čović, president of HDZ BiH, and Bakir Izetbegović, deputy president of SDA, met at the HDZ BiH House in Mostar, reports the Patria News Agency.
After the meeting, the two leaders gave a statement to the media, where Čović said that they discussed obligations and the implementation of election results at the meeting, with an emphasis on the Herzegovina-Neretva and Central Bosnia Cantons.
They also commented on the functioning of the executive and legislative authorities at the entity and state level so far, and are now looking for ways to improve some things.
- I would like to have a government in HNK and SBK as soon as possible. I think we have wasted all possible time, I am personally in favor of doing it immediately, said Dragan Čović.
- HDZ BiH will very quickly adopt a position on the fastest possible establishment of government so that we can start dealing with concrete issues, instead of discussing government for half a year. It is up to us to have another round of talks with our associates, as well as with the third party that is not here at the moment, in order to speed up the whole process, concluded Dr. Čović.
Izetbegović stated that there was not enough time at today's meeting to go into more detail on important issues, that they did not manage to reach any specific agreement, and that they will continue to negotiate, it was announced from HDZBiH.
