(Patria) - Mass protests were held again in Tel Aviv last night, with Israelis demanding that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government immediately cease fire and release hostages from Gaza.
Thousands of Israelis gathered at a protest in the center of Tel Aviv, as they did the previous weekend.
Nearly 54,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the start of Israeli attacks in October 2023, and the blockaded Palestinian enclave has been almost completely devastated.
On March 18, the Israeli army continued its attacks on Gaza, violating the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that came into effect in January.
As the ruthless and deadly Israeli bombing intensifies in Gaza, families are starving and denied basic means of survival, the United Nations and humanitarian agencies have warned.
In November last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing accusations of genocide before the International Court of Justice.
