(Patrai) - A powerful explosion was heard near the US Embassy in Oslo on the night between Saturday and Sunday. Citizens report that a strong detonation was heard in the western part of the Norwegian capital, after which a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The explosion occurred around one o'clock after midnight, and it is not yet known what exactly caused the detonation or who might be responsible, the Oslo police department announced.
– Police are in contact with the embassy and there are no reports of injuries – the statement said.
