It was unheard of for a pro-Bosnian party leader to show an understanding for supporting the SNSD's policy regarding the demands to repeal the Law on Prohibition of Genocide Denial,
as Fahrudin Radončić, SBB leader, and as he likes to call himself – a mediator in the process of electoral reforms in BiH!
Soon after the media from the neighboring Republic of Croatia, Slobodna Dalmacija, Jutarnji list and Index.hr had sent out harsh messages about Dragan Covic and his adherence to Dodik's genocidal policy, SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić quickly retreated. Croatian media called him a devil's advocate.
In a cowardly tone, he promised the public that the HDZ would withdraw its votes regarding Inzko's law, and said that the HDZ had 'stabbed Bosniaks in the back'. The day before, he said that he had learned in 'private'; that 'Croat votes were given to SNSD with the best intention to preserve SNSD in the negotiation process, and not because HDZ wants to be a partner of
SNSD and Dodik. They knew that the proposal would not pass and they raised their hand to keep part of the SNSD as part of the agreement, and not as part of the problem!'
In that light, we were interested in the reactions by the party leaders who are considered as the pro-Bosnian option.
Željko Komšic, the chairman of the Presidency of BiH and leader of the Democratic Front told Patria that he is not ready to keep quiet even before much stronger players than Radončić.
"I dont't know why no one has reacted so far. I only know that I am not ready to keep quiet even before much stronger players, because that affects dignity of the victims. No one who
wants to be on the Bosnian side in the politics should doubt that", said Komšić.
Senad Šepić, the leader of the Independent Bloc told Patria that Radončić's statement is merely a sequel of his policy.
"His subsequent (pretence of) remorse should be trusted as if he said he would for jump from the tower. To me, what he says is unconvincing and I believe in walking the walk not just
talking the talk, and he has now shown in words and deeds that he has no place in the pro-Bosnian bloc but in some 'birthday bloc' that crystallized recently in Mostar. Until the others
in the pro-Bosnian bloc come to understand that, it will be difficult for that bloc to be able to do anything concrete", Sepic pointed out.
Nermin Nikšić, the leader of the SDP, refused to comment on the new situation and to answer the question whether a man with a fluid stance on genocide has a place in the pro-Bosnian
bloc.
"There is no need for it… ain't I one of the traitors?! Regards and all the best", wrote Nikšić in the message.
The Cabinet of Bakir Izetbegović, the leader of the SDA, responded that due to negotiations and a series of meetings, they were unable to answer the inquiry today, and that they had to
cancel other media requests as well.
