The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, addressed reporters after the failed session that was supposed to discuss the 'spengavanje' affair.
If Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić truly wanted to "address" and say everything he is repeating today before the cameras, then the simplest way would have been for his representatives to support the agenda. That is the political alphabet. There is no point in feigning decisiveness at a press conference while his own hands did not raise when it truly mattered.
"They came because of the fact that nothing can be objected to the federal government when it comes to the economic situation, fulfilling demands for economic relief, minimum wage, passing the draft law on fiscalization, etc. Those who have reasons are probably afraid now and are looking for ways to dispute it," said Nikšić.
And, of course, it is not true that nothing can be objected to. From suspicious incentives, events with pensioners, the fact that Vojin Mijatović's phone was also confiscated, that Nikšić's chief of staff is also without a mobile phone...
It is absurd that the prime minister today explains what he would have liked to say at the session, while his entire club of representatives allowed him to say nothing. If he was eager to speak, he could have formally requested the floor. That was not done either. So who was bothered by the discussion?
And the most bizarre is the repetition of the thesis that "affairs are being created" and "invented", while at the same time the court suspends four high-ranking officials precisely because of cases related to disputed correspondence. It is difficult, to say the least, to accuse others of fabricating scandals when institutions themselves confirm that a serious problem exists.
In short, if the truth is on their side, then they do not run away from the agenda, they do not hide behind procedural excuses, and they do not play the victim.
Today, everything was ridiculous except for the fact that much in this story does not fit the narrative the prime minister is trying to sell.
