In the narrower area of Baščaršija, in an action by the Sector for Inspection Affairs of the Old Town Municipality, inadequate illuminated advertisements from 21 facilities have been removed so far. The action to remove advertisements began on August 24 and will not be interrupted until all unsuitable advertisements are removed, the Municipality announced, reports the Patria agency.
The Sector for Inspection Affairs of the Old Town Municipality confirmed that all advertisement owners have been verbally and in writing informed about the action. Inspection procedures have been initiated against owners who have not removed their advertisements.
As part of their regular activities, inspectors from the Sector for Inspection Affairs continuously patrol Ferhadija and Mula Mustafa Bašeskija streets, where they also warn owners about irregularities and initiate procedures against those who do not heed the warnings and do not have permits for their advertisements.
