In Dobrinja building, three injured, attacker identified but not arrested

(Patria) - In the Sarajevo settlement of Dobrinja, an attack occurred yesterday in a residential building on Branislava Nušića Street, in which three people were injured. However, the police did not arrest anyone. Residents were met with blood in the stairwell and bloody towels behind the building yesterday, as well as two police patrols.

"On 07.09.2022 at 06:10, the Novi Grad Police Department was informed that in an apartment on Branislava Nušića Street, Novi Grad Municipality Sarajevo, persons S.Š., born in 2001, E.Š., born in 2000, and T.H., born in 2001, all residing in Sarajevo, were physically attacked and injured with a knife by F.D. from Sarajevo. The injured received medical assistance from the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service team, and later at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, where doctors determined that E.Š. sustained minor bodily injuries and was sent home for treatment after receiving medical attention, while S.Š. and T.H. sustained injuries of an undetermined degree and were admitted for further treatment. The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed about the above. An investigation was conducted by police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, who continue to work on clarifying and documenting the mentioned criminal offenses, as well as finding the perpetrator," the police report stated.

Incidentally, this is not the first incident in this building and with the same actors. Residents of the stairwell where one of the incidents occurred have been having problems for months with a group of young men and women staying in an apartment whose owner is abroad. The police have visited this address several times and intervened due to various incidents. Residents are disturbed and are asking the police to find the owner or whoever is responsible for its maintenance in order to prevent such incidents in the future.

This is a stairwell with many residents with small children who are afraid for the safety of their families.

The police and the KS Prosecutor's Office must bring this case to a conclusion this time and find all those who caused the incident that could have ended tragically.
