(Patria) - Last night, four returning children were beaten in Stolac.
This news was announced by Federal Minister Nerin Dizdar.
"Unknown perpetrators in several cars ambushed them on their way back from a match in the manner of the most hardened robbers at the entrance to Stolac. Then they brutally beat and tortured them," Dizdar announced.
"Such violence must be punished immediately and most severely.
Support for the young men and their families must be unconditional, decisive, and clear, as must the reaction of the police and judiciary. For too long, for over 25 years when it comes to attacks on returnees, we have been hearing phrases about 'investigations underway' and 'unknown perpetrators'.
Enough is enough.
Violence against returnees must be sanctioned immediately. I expect a reaction from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor's Office, a swift investigation, the apprehension and conviction of the criminals - nothing less than that. The circle of possible perpetrators is not particularly large.
From all actors of the social order, from the local to the state level, I expect unified, unambiguous support for the returnees. The Ministry will do everything within its jurisdiction for these young men and their families," Dizdar stated.
