In Sarajevo 13 kg of drugs found, a man from Trebinje and a man from Sarajevo arrested

(Patria) - Police officers of the Department for Combating Narcotic Drug Abuse of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, in cooperation with the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and officers of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, carried out the operational action "Hornet".

In the area of the municipality of Novo Sarajevo, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, and based on the order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, police officers searched a motor vehicle, inside which 12 (twelve) PVC packages were found containing a dry, herbaceous substance that, by its appearance and morphological characteristics, indicates it is the narcotic drug marijuana, with a total weight of approximately 13 (thirteen) kilograms.

During the search, a certain amount of cash in EUR and BAM currency was also found, as well as other items of interest to the investigation. A passenger motor vehicle "Mercedes" was also temporarily seized.

The following were deprived of their liberty: R.Š. (63) from Trebinje on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and D.P. (22) from Sarajevo on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Possession and Facilitation of Narcotic Drug Use (Article 239, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton continue further work within this action.
