In Sarajevo and Bijeljina, two people were arrested on suspicion of organized crime and obstruction of justice

(Patria) - Two people were arrested today in the Sarajevo and Bijeljina areas in a joint operational action carried out by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of KS, on the order of the Court of BiH and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The arrested persons were taken to official premises, where they are undergoing criminal processing and interrogation as suspects, after which they will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH within the legal deadline.

The arrested are linked to the commission of the criminal offenses "Organized Crime" and "Obstruction of Justice" as prescribed by the Criminal Code of BiH, and the criminal offenses "Serious Criminal Offenses Against General Safety of People and Property" and "Causing General Danger" as prescribed by the Criminal Code of FBiH.

Searches of residential and other premises and movable property were carried out at five locations, and during the searches, items that could serve as evidence in further proceedings were discovered and temporarily confiscated.

Good cooperation was achieved in this operational action with EUROPOL, especially with the National Contact Point of Belgium, then with the competent authorities of Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, as well as with the BiH Border Police and the MUP of RS, SIPA announced today.
