In Sarajevo, protests and a peaceful march of support for the Palestinian people in Gaza have been scheduled for today. The protests will be held at 12 noon on the plateau near Sebilj.

An independent youth gathering in Bosnia and Herzegovina has called on Sarajevans to gather to start a peaceful march of support for the residents of Gaza who are suffering daily from Israeli attacks.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the severe humanitarian conditions faced by people in Palestine and to honor those who have been killed.

"Given the recent tragic events in Palestine, where dozens of journalists, medical teams, and civilians have lost their lives, we believe it is crucial to come together and show our support in these difficult times," the organizers said in the announcement of the protests.

While Israel's attack is often characterized as defensive, an Arab-Islamic summit hosted by Saudi Arabia on Saturday called for a ceasefire in Gaza and rejected the justification of Israeli actions against Palestinians as self-defense, agencies reported.

The summit condemned "Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, war crimes, and barbaric and inhumane massacres by the occupying government," according to the final statement.

The statement calls for an end to the siege of Gaza, allowing humanitarian aid to reach the enclave, and halting arms exports to Israel.

Arab and Muslim leaders also said they rejected any proposal that would separate Gaza from the West Bank in a future Palestinian state. The final declaration emphasized the importance of "the unity of Gaza and the West Bank as the territory of the Palestinian State," with East Jerusalem as its capital.
