In Mostar, a meeting was held due to the deteriorating security situation; an appeal was made to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to increase patrols and introduce video surveillance

(Patria) - In the city on the Neretva, a meeting of representatives of the Coordination of Civil Associations of Mostar with representatives of Bosniak parties in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly was held today.

The meeting was held in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly, and the reason was the deteriorating security situation and the increasing attacks on the citizens of Mostar.

Representatives of Bosniak parties in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton attended: Džafer Alić (SDA), Ismet Lulić (SDP BiH), Sadina Hejub (DF), Omer Hujdur (NIP), and Nermin Vrtić (NES).

The meeting was called due to the concern of citizens and organizations regarding the increasing incidents involving attacks on Mostar residents, property destruction, and disruption of public order and peace.

Representatives of the Bosniak parties expressed their support for the efforts of the civil sector and emphasized the necessity of establishing better coordination mechanisms between police and judicial institutions.

It was concluded that it is necessary to request the Ministry of Internal Affairs to urgently take all necessary measures to shed light on all unresolved cases of attacks on Mostar citizens, and that it is important for the prosecution and court to prosecute and punish perpetrators, organizers, and instigators for the prevention of violence.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of an effective investigation and swift prosecution of those responsible for these incidents in order to restore citizens' trust in institutions and ensure security in the city.

Furthermore, an appeal was made to the Ministry to increase the presence of police patrols in key parts of the city, introduce video surveillance, and improve cooperation with the local community for a faster and more effective response to security threats.

This meeting showed the unity of the Bosniak parties in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton when it comes to citizen security and public order.
