In KS 11 new cases of coronavirus infection confirmed

(Patria) - According to data from the Institute of Public Health, 11 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

Of this number, seven, or 63.63 percent, belong to family clusters or are contacts of previously ill individuals and have been in self-isolation since before.

As emphasized by the Institute, since the last report until this morning, results have arrived for 123 tested individuals, whose samples were collected between September 10 and September 13, 2020.

At the same time, nine people have recovered, so the number of active coronavirus infection cases is now 299.

In the isolation ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo, 25 people are hospitalized, most of them are vital and stable, while two patients are on mechanical ventilation support.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 74.

To date, 4,287 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 3,914 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from August 31 to September 14 this year, 651 self-isolation orders were issued by the inspection, based on recommendations from epidemiologists or on the basis of decisions from the Ministry of Health of KS.
