In FBiH today Day of Mourning

(Patria) - Due to the triple murder in Sanski Most, the FBiH Government declared Monday, August 26, a Day of Mourning.

"The day of the burial of the last victim of the tragic crime in the Mixed Secondary School Sanski Most, August 26, 2024, is declared a Day of Mourning in the Federation of BiH", it is stated in the decision of the entity government, made at the session on August 23.

The Day of Mourning is marked by the mandatory flying of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, i.e. on the flagpole, on the buildings of legislative, executive and judicial authorities, public institutions, institutions and other legal entities in the area of FBiH.

Three people were killed on Wednesday, August 21, in a shooting at a secondary school center in Sanski Most, while the attacker was seriously injured while attempting suicide.

The attacker fired an automatic rifle at three employees of the Gymnasium, and the director, secretary, and English teacher were killed.

The suspect in the triple murder is an employee of the secondary school center in Sanski Most.

The FBiH Government will, as stated in the announcement, through the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, recommend that on the first day of the school year in all primary and secondary schools in FBiH, a minute of silence be observed in honor of the victims.

Three days of mourning were declared in the municipality of Sanski Most, while the Day of Mourning in the area of USK was observed on Friday, August 23.
