In FBiH, there are only 88,510 more employed people than pensioners

(Patria) - The number of employed people in FBiH at the end of April was 544,613. Compared to March, there was an increase of 1,810 employed people, but compared to the end of 2024, the number of employed people decreased by about 6,500.

Of this number of employed people, there are more men, namely 302,284, while there are 242,329 women.

Regarding the age structure, the data shows that the largest number of the working population is aged 46 to 65+ (221,127), while there are 168,352 employed people aged 20 to 35. There are 155,134 employed people aged 35 to 46.

If we compare this number of employed people, including the age structure, with the number of pensioners, a significant increase in the number of pensioners can be expected in the next five years.

The difference between the number of employed people and the number of pensioners in FBiH at the end of April was only 88,510 more employed people. 456,103 beneficiaries received pensions for the month of April.

In the retail sector alone, from the end of November to the end of March, 1,936 workers lost their jobs, after the introduction of a non-working Sunday and an increase in the minimum wage from 619 to 1,000 KM.
