In BIH 394 new infections, 11 deaths

(Patria) - According to data from the Federal Institute of Public Health, in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the results of testing 1,709 samples were reported in the last 24 hours, of which 297 were positive for COVID-19. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH.

In the Federation of BiH, a total of 141,531 samples have been tested so far, and COVID-19 has been confirmed in 15,790 people. As of today, 11,512 patients have recovered in the Federation of BiH, and the recovery of 171 patients was recorded in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 3,835 active cases/positive for COVID-19.

In the last 24 hours, eight deaths were reported to the Federal Institute of Public Health. Six patients died in the last 24 hours, and two patients whose data were entered into the database later died at the beginning of the week. As of today, the total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 443, of which 292 are men and 151 are women.

"We appeal to avoid large gatherings, especially in closed spaces, and to limit celebrations to a close circle of family and friends while respecting all hygiene and epidemiological measures. We live with the virus present in the community, and it is important to maintain a low level of transmission with individual responsibility and adherence to measures and behavior in the context of COVID-19," said the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health.

The population in the Federation of BiH is recommended to avoid public gatherings and limit their movements due to the COVID-19 epidemiological situation. In case of symptoms such as fever, cough, loss of smell or taste, people with symptoms, as well as their household members, are recommended to stay home and call their doctor by phone for further instructions.

It is necessary to adhere to personal protective measures, maintain a distance of two meters and avoid shaking hands and hugging, wear masks in indoor public spaces while maintaining a distance of two meters, and outdoors if a distance of two meters cannot be maintained, frequent and thorough hand washing, maintaining personal hygiene and hygiene of premises, as well as for employers and employees to adhere to preventive measures in the workplace.

From the last report on the epidemiological situation in Republika Srpska, in the last 24 hours, 640 laboratory samples were tested at the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, the University Hospital in Foča, and the hospitals of St. Vračevi in Bijeljina and St. Apostol Luka in Doboj, and the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed in 97 people in Republika Srpska.

These are 48 men and 49 women, of whom 23 are younger, 57 are middle-aged, and 17 are elderly.

According to place of residence, 27 people are from Banja Luka, 10 from Mrkonjić Grad, seven from Prnjavor, six from Gradiška, five from Laktaši, four each from Bijeljina, Doboj, Istočna Ilidža, and Čelinac, three each from Prijedor and Sokolac, two each from Bileća, Kozarska Dubica, Teslić, and Foča, and one each from Brod, Zvornik, Kneževo, Lopare, Modriča, Oštra Luka, Rudo, Srbac, Stanari, Trebinje, Šamac, and Šipovo.

In the last 24 hours, three deaths were reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska, in which the presence of the new coronavirus was confirmed. These are middle-aged and elderly men from Doboj (two people) and Gradiška.

So far, 8,511 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 284 people have died who tested positive for the new coronavirus. A total of 5,431 people have recovered from the new coronavirus so far, and a total of 72,994 people have been tested.

The total number of hospitalized in Republika Srpska is 184, in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska 63, and in general hospitals 121.

In Republika Srpska, 3,398 people are currently under health supervision, and supervision has been completed for 55,136 people.
