In BIH 2.577 new cases of Covid-19 infection, the most in one day since the beginning of the pandemic

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the last 24 hours, 6,193 samples were tested for coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 2,577 new infections were recorded, which is a record number of new infections since the beginning of the pandemic. 22 people died from the consequences of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 4,698 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, of which 1,822 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of BiH.

A total of 1,088,137 samples have been tested so far, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 199,316 people.

In the past 24 hours, seven (7) deaths were reported in the Federation of BiH, namely in the Central Bosnia, Zenica-Doboj, Tuzla and Sarajevo Cantons. The total number of deaths in the Federation of BiH is 7,621.

In Republika Srpska, 1,152 laboratory samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed in 577 people.

In the last 24 hours, 13 deaths were reported to the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska.

So far, 97,110 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Republika Srpska, and a total of 5,607 people have died who tested positive for coronavirus.

A total of 382,185 people have been tested in Republika Srpska.

The total number of hospitalized in Republika Srpska is 448, in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska 185, and in other hospitals 263. 43 people are on ventilators, 30 in the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, 13 in other hospitals.

In the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 343 samples were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, of which 178 new infections were recorded. Two people died from the consequences of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in this part of BiH.
