In Banja Luka, a festive academy "Ramadan in my Sheher" was held

(Patria) - In the Banski Dvor in Banja Luka, a festive academy "Ramadan in my Sheher" was held this evening on the occasion of the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

This is a traditional program organized by the Mufti's office of Banja Luka, which recalls the living of universal values, as one of the missions of the Islamic Community in BiH.

The program also points out the significance of Ramadan in the lives of Muslims, as well as in the broader social and cultural context.

- Muslims from this area send a message about living in their faith, their city, and their homeland, while respecting everyone else around them.

I expect the listeners to recognize such a message and adopt it as a value during and after Ramadan - said the Mufti of Banja Luka, Ismail-ef. Smajlović.

He noted that the messages of all God's prophets since the creation of the world were related to the prohibition of sins such as injustice, theft, or violence, as well as encouraging the spread of good.

- The Noble Prophet, whom Muslims remember and whose practice they follow, says that a believer is not complete if others are not safe from his hands. Both people and animals.

Man has the right to use everything in this world. He has the right to manage it, but he must not be violent towards the created world - said Mufti Smajlović.



The program was attended by a large number of visitors and representatives of religious, social, and political life.

Among them was the Vice-President of the RS, Ćamil Duraković, who said that, despite the challenges of today, the presence of a large number of visitors at such programs "awakens hope for a better tomorrow".

- In the time we live in, it is most difficult to remain what we were created for: to be a person of noble conduct, good deeds, and sincere intentions.

Ramadan is a unique opportunity to fulfill our purpose in this world through dedicated worship and sincere prayers and to earn God's help in all the work we do - said Duraković.

He also reminded that the promotion of positive values is the obligation of all people, especially those who have taken on important social functions.

- We who hold responsible positions are obliged to actively work on improving the lives of the citizens of BiH. Although many challenges slow us down, it is important to recognize openness to cooperation, socializing, and mutual support - emphasized Duraković.

In the festive part of the academy, performances were given by Armin Muzaferija, Mustafa Širbić, the choir of imams of the Banja Luka Mufti's office, and the choir of the "Reis Ibrahim-ef. Maglajlić" Medresa.
