Teams of FUCZ continued the search for Anto Josić

(Patria) - Teams for water and underwater rescue of FUCZ continued the search for Anto Josić, who was last seen on Saturday afternoon, December 21st last year when he left his family home in an unknown direction.

FUCZ was involved in an extensive search for Josić for three days from 23.12.2019, and before that, his family, locals, and hunters had searched without success.

According to information gathered from family members and indications that the missing Josić moved along the banks of the Sava River, it is assumed that he fell into the water and drowned. Therefore, the search, which was temporarily suspended due to the rise in water levels and the speed of the Sava River in this section, and the impossibility of engaging underwater search and rescue teams (divers), resumed this morning.

The search is concentrated on several locations on the Sava River in the municipality of Domaljevac-Šamac, where three water rescue teams with boats, one underwater rescue team with eight divers, and one team with a sonar will search. So far, 35 FUCZ members trained for search and rescue, three search dogs with handlers, a team with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), one of which has a thermal camera, and a water rescue team (divers) with boats and necessary equipment, members of the hunting association "Kuna", the fishing association "Zlatni Karas" from Domaljevac, locals, and the family of the missing person have been involved in the search for the missing Josić (67).
