Terminals of FBiH without a responsible person: Suspects Directors Zornić and Zeljko banned, Nikšić does not want to dismiss them

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH refuses to dismiss the director and deputy of the Operator of Terminals of the Federation, although both have been issued bans from performing directorial duties. This means that this federal company is currently not managed by anyone, meaning there is no person authorized to lead the Terminals. According to Istraga.ba, ministers Ramo Isak and Vojin Mijatović oppose the dismissal of director Hermedin Zornić, while the ministers from HDZ BiH are against the dismissal of deputy Slaven Zeljko, writes Istraga.ba.

“The bans are in effect,” it was confirmed on Friday for Istraga.ba by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.

Therefore, according to the decision of the Court in Sarajevo, Hermedin Zornić and his deputy Slaven Zeljko cannot leave their place of residence and are not allowed to perform official duties. This means they cannot perform the duties of director or deputy director at the Operator of Terminals of the Federation.

We remind you that Zornić and Zeljko were arrested on July 9 this year. The KS Prosecutor's Office suspects them of illegally hiring at least 15 people in the company Operator – Terminals FBiH during 2022 without announcing a public advertisement, i.e., outside of procedures.

Zornić and Zeljko were first appointed as leaders of Terminals as cadres of SDA and HDZ, during the mandate of the Government of the Federation of BiH headed by Fadil Novalić. After Christian Schmidt imposed the Government of FBiH with SDP's Nermin Nikšić, Hermedin Zornić changed his affiliation and became a cadre of Kenan Uzunović, a federal representative whose vote was crucial for confirming the imposed Government. In the meantime, Uzunović moved to the party of the federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak, so Hermedin Zornić became a cadre of Snaga naroda. At the same time, according to Istraga's information, he also gained the favor of the federal Deputy Prime Minister Vojin Mijatović, so the Government of FBiH, by decision of April 8, appointed him acting director of the Operator of Terminals.

Three months later, Zornić and Zeljko were arrested as part of the investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office, but the Government of FBiH refuses to dismiss them, although, formally, they cannot perform the duties of director and deputy director. This company is now unmanaged. For this reason, the Employees' Council also wrote to the Government of FBiH.

“Given that the Company has been without management for a long time, and the situation is worsening, the Union demands that the Government of the Federation of BiH, as the founder of the Company, immediately take all necessary steps to stabilize the situation and ensure the normal functioning of the Company,” the letter from the Employees' Council of Terminals stated.

But the federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić does not want to take any action, because he fears that he might lose the majority in the House of Representatives of FBiH.
