Explosion in Ilidža last night, and this morning a hand grenade was placed at a cafe

In the Sarajevo settlement of Ilidža, there was an explosion during the night which damaged a house and a vehicle, and a greater tragedy was avoided this morning at a cafe in Mala aleja, writes the BH news agency Patria.

This morning at 06:55, the IV Police Directorate was informed that in Mala aleja street, Ilidža municipality, the owner of the catering facility “Garden”, L.F. from Sarajevo, found a hand grenade, a so-called “pin grenade”, placed by unknown persons on the door of the mentioned facility.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed. The investigation was carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, who continue to work on clarifying the mentioned criminal offense, identifying and finding the perpetrator.

Incidentally, the explosion occurred around 03:25 in Butmirskog bataljona street.

- There were no injuries at the time, while damage occurred to the house owned by Dž.S. from Sarajevo, as well as to the passenger motor vehicle of the brand “VW Golf 2”, which was parked in the immediate vicinity.
