SDP in Mostar celebrated the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Cantonal Board of SDP BiH HNK held a ceremonial session on Monday to mark the 30th anniversary of the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, commemorating the referendum by which BiH decided that our country should go the way of independence from the then state community, towards a sovereign and independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, a state of all equal citizens and peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the current moments of threats to the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is important to repeat and emphasize this irrefutable fact, regardless of all attempts to belittle the result of the referendum at that time. This will not succeed because this event was precisely the initial spark for the international recognition of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an independent and sovereign state, the SDP HNK announces.

In his congratulatory message on Independence Day, the president of KO SDP BiH HNK, Ismet Lulić, reminded that on March 1, 1992, Bosniaks and Herzegovinians of all nationalities chose a sovereign, independent, self-governing and unified state in which all citizens, peoples and nationalities are equal.

- I hope that we will continue to build such a country, respecting and appreciating each other for a better future for all of us. Therefore, the message from the ceremonial session of KO SDP BIH HNK is: Everything for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina for nothing! Happy Independence Day of BiH! - Lulić conveyed.

In addition to this ceremonial session, KO SDP BiH HNK also held a "Round Table" titled: "Causes and consequences of inequality in BiH and the social democratic response".

On this topic and solutions that can quickly and effectively eliminate all forms of discrimination in Bosnian-Herzegovinian society, spoke to a large number of citizens of Mostar: Prof. Dr. Elvis Fejzić, professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, Mr. Jasmin Branković, Assistant Minister of Education and Science of the FBiH, Lana Prlić, Vice-President of SDP BiH, and Ismet Lulić, President of KO SDP BiH HNK.
