Sarajevo police arrest attacker of Avdo Avdić

(Patria) - With a swift reaction from the Sarajevo police, the young man who physically attacked journalist and editor of the Istraga.ba portal Avdo Avdić in Sarajevo today has been arrested.

"On the orders of the duty prosecutor, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton of Sarajevo arrested Abdulaziz Musa at 4:10 PM for the criminal offense of inflicting injury out of hatred towards journalist Avdo Avdić.

The suspect is undergoing criminal processing at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton of Sarajevo, after which he will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo," confirmed Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Sarajevo, to the media.

The arrested person is the son of Sanin Musa - who is the leader of the movement "Faith, People, State" which recently came into the focus of the Bosnian public.

Avdić confirmed that he was attacked and that the attacker, who introduced himself as Musa's son, intercepted him on Wilson's Promenade.

The attack occurred after the journalist and editor of Istraga left a cafe in Grbavica and headed towards his apartment.

After a brief verbal argument, the attacker hit Avdić, and then asked him in a video, which you can watch below: "Do you want more?"

Let us remind you, Sanin Musa has been present in the Bosnian media for days after he planned to visit Široki Brijeg where he intended to organize a public prayer.

Musa was stopped by the police on his way to Jablanica, from where he was supposed to head to Široki Brijeg, where he had previously announced an organized collective prayer.
