(Patria) - A meeting of the Coordination Board for the implementation of the UN General Assembly Resolution, which declares July 11th as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, was held today at the BiH Presidency building.
The Coordination Board was formed by BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović in June 2024, immediately after the adoption of the Resolution by the UN General Assembly, with the aim of coordinating key activities for the implementation of the Resolution in a planned and systematic manner, from the highest level.
It was emphasized that the implementation of the Resolution contributes to the promotion of general civilizational norms and values, as well as the preservation of truth, justice, accountability, and crime prevention.
During the meeting, it was stated that significant results have been achieved in the past fifteen months of work.
The participants of the meeting reiterated that the implementation of the UN General Assembly Resolution, which declares July 11th as the International Day of Remembrance and Commemoration of the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, is a project of special interest for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
