When you ask POSKOK officials why Nermin Nikšić and Vahidin Munjić's phones were not confiscated, they will tell you that POSKOK already has their correspondence. OK, that stands. Provided that POSKOK answers the question - why were the phones of Nikšić's chief of staff, and Munjić's associates and the director of the Agency for State Administration Refik Begić, confiscated? Because if Nikšić and Munjić's phones were not confiscated because their correspondence is already in the file, why were the phones of individuals whose correspondence also exists in the file confiscated?
Aida Bešlija is the name of the prosecutor from POSKOK who devised a "brilliant operation" to re-search for evidence she already has in her own drawer, collected under the order of the competent court, in the wiped phones of half of the "suspects". And only to protect the other half of the suspects, among whom are, coincidentally, Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić and acting director of FUP Vahidin Munjić.
What logic did prosecutor Bešlija follow when she ordered the police to confiscate the phone of Nermin Nikšić's Chief of Staff, but not Nermin Nikšić himself? What common sense logic dictates that you confiscate Muhamed Ohranović's phone on suspicion of mediating with Vahidin Munjić, but not Vahidin Munjić's phone? Or - what is the logic behind confiscating Ervin Mušinović's phone, but not Mirela Bubalo's, with whom Mušinović worked in tandem? According to Aljoša Čampara's instructions. Whose phone, again, was not confiscated.
We could have seen that prosecutor Aida Bešlija and other POSKOK members were not working on this case for the past six months. First, Aida Bešlija took charge of the disputed correspondence and Nikšić's notes while she was still a cantonal prosecutor in Sarajevo. Then, without a single serious case in her prosecutorial career, she was appointed as the top-ranked POSKOK prosecutor. She took Nikšić's correspondence with her, put it in a drawer, and continued to do nothing.
POSKOK itself now admits that they formally took over the correspondence in July. And they took it over from the KS Prosecutor's Office, where Aida Bešlija was in charge of it. Which she then also took charge of at POSKOK. Even if we look only at formalities, four months passed from the beginning of July to the beginning of November. Aida Bešlija took no prosecutorial action during those four months. And then, when Istraga.ba started publishing the messages, Aida Bešlija decided to issue an order to search for evidence that is already on her desk.
Today's POSKOK operation is a farce. Or rather, an underestimation of common sense. You cannot take phones from subordinates who worked on behalf of superiors without taking phones from the superiors. I mean, you can, but then your motive is clear. For much lesser offenses, the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office recently arrested cantonal minister Adna Mesihović.
In the "Spengavanje" case, POSKOK has not even issued an order to conduct an investigation. Prosecutor Bešlija is currently only doing "checks". In short, she is checking if citizens are stupid, and potential suspects even stupider, to keep any correspondence on their phones. Aida Bešlija has correspondence in her drawer. She doesn't read it. She doesn't want to read it. She only wants to reduce the pressure on herself and POSKOK and show the public that she is doing her job. And as things stand - her only real job is to protect the federal prime minister Nermin Nikšić. And that's why she didn't confiscate his phone.
