SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Aida Pilav, President of the Crisis Staff of the KS, said that 58 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and 4 were positive, of which three were retested.
"Fourteen are hospitalized, and one of our fellow citizens who was on a respirator has died. A total of 2,169 samples have been tested in the KS, 110 are positive, of which 11 are retested. Three foreign nationals have been relocated. There have been five deaths in Sarajevo," said Pilav.
She said that the number of tests has increased, but again on the recommendation of epidemiologists.
"First, people with symptoms will be tested, and there was an announcement of serological testing, and that is by testing priority citizens, i.e., those in contact with infected people, such as healthcare workers, public services, social institutions, other services, to see how much the virus is circulating in the country," said Pilav.
She confirmed that a resident of the Gerontology Center who is positive for the coronavirus was transferred to the General Hospital today.
"She does not have any active or severe clinical picture. Testing of the first group of employees of the Gerontology Center has begun. We will continue testing in public and private institutions as well," said Pilav.
Regarding the passengers from Sweden who are in quarantine at the Student Dormitory in Bjelave, we do not need to discuss that measure in any way.
"The quarantine measure is prescribed by the Federal Minister of Health for a period of 28 days, and in consultation with the WHO, we received a recommendation that quarantine can last 14 days. I call on fellow citizens to be patient. There are 3 infected people in quarantine and they are completely under epidemiological supervision," said Pilav.
