Petrov in Mostar on the third entity: Sit down at the table and agree yourselves

When asked by journalists in Mostar today if he was in favor of establishing a third entity in BiH, the President of the Croatian Parliament, Božo Petrov, said that he would not start a polemic. The reason for his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is "a friendly visit, first and foremost, a partnership visit."

- Our wish is for BiH to take a step forward on its European path, for the political representatives of BiH to find an appropriate model in which all three constituent peoples will be, in the full sense, equal. What model that will be, that is up to them. We are not a country that believes BiH should be anyone's protectorate. The three constituent peoples can find a solution, sit down at the table and agree, so they don't need regional players to build a quality future. We will always be partners and friends of BiH. We will not fall for any other provocations - Petrov conveyed, reported by N1, NAP reports.

The Council of Ministers of BiH announced yesterday that Petrov stated during a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, in Sarajevo that "Croatia respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH, the equality of the three constituent peoples, but also does not support the creation of an additional entity in BiH".

Most soon denied the statement from the Council of Ministers of BiH. This party claims that the conversation in Sarajevo was very constructive, but that Petrov did not declare himself for or against the third entity at any point, as it was not the focus of the conversation.

The Council of Ministers of BiH soon reacted. They assure that they discussed the third entity with Petrov in front of several witnesses.

The President of the Croatian Parliament, Božo Petrov, is visiting Mostar today as part of an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he met with the Rector of the University, Ljerka Ostojić, the Bishop of Mostar-Duvno, Ratko Perić, and visited the Franciscan monastery and the University Hospital, writes Patria.
