Paris: Bosnian Economy Presented, Our Country Open for French Investments

Organized by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of France and the association of private entrepreneurs of France (MEDEF), a presentation of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Paris today, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of France, Ivan Orlić, addressed the attendees, emphasizing that the almost negligible economic activity between the two countries is unnatural, illogical, and completely contrary to the interests of both sides.

He stressed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is open to great France, the French are perceived as friends in BiH, and French investments are welcome. The Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH, Claire Bodogny, also addressed the attendees.

The BiH delegation at the presentation of the BiH economy in Paris was led by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Šarović.

The BiH delegation also included the President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Nemanja Vasić, and the Director of the Agency for Foreign Investment Promotion in BiH, Jelica Grujić, who presented investment opportunities in BiH in the fields of infrastructure, energy, banking, and tourism to their French partners.

The presentation of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian economy was attended by the Special Representative of the French Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the Western Balkans, Alain Richard, representatives of relevant French ministries, high-ranking officials of renowned French companies from the fields of industry, energy, construction, and infrastructure Bouygues Concessions, EGIS, EUTELSAT, as well as directors of major banks (BNP Paribas, Rothchild Investment Bank), according to a statement from the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
