Opposition from RS submits several hundred criminal charges to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for electoral fraud

(Patria) - The presidents of PDP, SDS, List for Justice and Order, Branislav Borenović, Mirko Šarović and Nebojša Vukanović, as well as the vice-president of PDP and candidate for president of Republika Srpska in the last elections, Jelena Trivić, will submit criminal charges to the BiH Prosecutor's Office against several hundred individuals for the criminal offense of electoral fraud.

The Central Election Commission (CIK) has ordered a recount of all ballots for the president/vice-president of Republika Srpska ex officio. The counting has not yet been completed, and the CIK is expected to determine the election results by October 22 and confirm the results by November 2. We remind you that on election night, Jelena Trivić was the first to declare victory for the presidency of Republika Srpska, and a few hours after midnight, Milorad Dodik, president of SNSD, also declared victory. According to the data published by the CIK, the difference was around 30,000 votes, and the opposition openly accused Dodik and SNSD of electoral fraud. Due to the large number of reports and irregularities, the CIK reacted ex officio and decided on a new vote count.

The vote count began on October 13 at the Main Counting Center, and deviations from the official data were found at several polling stations.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office had previously distanced itself from criminal offenses related to the electoral process for the president/vice-president of Republika Srpska, transferring them to lower entity prosecutor's offices in BiH, even though the General Elections in BiH are conducted according to the BiH Election Law.
