Operation Euro 2018: Preparations of the national team begin

Preparations of our senior handball team, ahead of the matches against Spain and Austria within the qualifiers for Euro 2018, begin today at the hotel "Hills" in Ilidža.

The first players that coach Bilal Šuman counts on for the operation "Euro 2018" will start reporting at 5 p.m.

Because the German, French, and Hungarian championships are also played next weekend, Šuman and his associates will only have all players together on October 31st, so they will only have one training session with the complete team before leaving for Spain on November 1st.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina plays its first qualifying match for the 2018 European Championship in Croatia on November 2nd against Spain, which is undoubtedly the absolute favorite in our group, which also includes Austria and Finland.

Given that the two top teams from the group go to the Euro, our second qualifying match against Austria on November 6th in the hall "Mirza Delibašić" in Sarajevo is of utmost importance to us.

The Austrians could be our direct rivals in the fight for second place. They are coming to Sarajevo with their strongest squad, but in our camp, they believe that, with frenetic support from the stands, we can thwart the plans of the Austrians, who also have great ambitions in the qualifiers.
