Initiative for session to discuss consequences of coronavirus crisis rejected

(Patria) - The joint collegium of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH rejected the initiative of delegate Denis Bećirović to hold a joint session.

Namely, back in May this year, Bećirović requested that the Collegium of the House of Peoples, in cooperation with the Chairman of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA, convene and organize a joint session of both Houses of the BiH PA as soon as possible, at which the Report of the Council of Ministers of BiH on the economic consequences of the coronavirus crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina would be discussed, along with a proposal for concrete measures to mitigate it.

This initiative was rejected by the Joint Collegium, which is another in a series of evidence of the inaction of the BiH Parliament.

Otherwise, the leaderships of both Houses sit in the Joint Collegium: Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović, Nikola Špirić, Borjana Krišto, Denis Zvizdić, and Nebojša Radmanović.

It is unknown how they voted on this initiative and whether Zvizdić and Izetbegović rejected this initiative by Bećirović, or if only the members of the Collegium from SNSD and HDZ BiH did so.
