Fans of Sarajevo outraged by police in Zenica: They beat us while tied up and cursed the mothers of Sarajevo

The association of FK Sarajevo fans "Horde zla" issued a public statement via their Facebook page, reports the Patria news agency. 

The fans of Sarajevo are outraged by the behavior of the Zenica police towards them at yesterday's match in Zenica between the home team Čelik and Sarajevo. 

- The new season of the BiH Premier League in football has also started with problems for fans who follow their clubs to away games.

Ask yourselves, if it weren't for these fans, would this whole circus called the BiH Premier League make any sense? For whom would it be played? What has been a long-standing practice is the behavior of the Zenica police towards fans coming from Sarajevo, specifically the Horde zla yesterday. Clearly, the case of Aner Kasapović is not enough for the competent authorities to order a reduction in repression, unless we want another example.

Or perhaps someone wants it? It is sad to say, but what the "gentlemen" police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ZE-DO canton feel towards us is pure and obvious hatred. The display of every form of anger, force, and belittling is guaranteed in any conflict.

Yesterday's systematic separation of cars into smaller groups and directing them into wrong streets, which were mostly full of home fans, thus creating conflicts, was intentional by the Zenica police. Of course, each of these conflicts in several locations in the city ended badly for us because, for the umpteenth time, we suffered repression from the police, misdemeanor and criminal charges. The scenes of arrest themselves are shocking. With handcuffs on their hands, on the ground, with their heads down, lie young men who came to support their club just 70 km from Sarajevo, as if they had come to another country.

Kicking, cursing the mothers of Sarajevo, and every other method of insult causes a feeling of disgust in any normal mind that witnesses or hears it from the side. The media and the public in BiH are not even aware that complexes are being worked out on us from the capital. Police officers who fully support the home fans in their cowardly provocations, attacks, and the like, are dealing with their frustrations, personal problems, and the economic situation in Zenica. Something similar happened to us a few months ago on our way back from Banja Luka. The beatings we received in Žepče, again from the ZE-DO canton police, cannot be put into words. Mostly, they were on the ground, with boots, rifle butts, and whatever else. All this, of course, in the dark, when no one sees and can possibly record it.

On this occasion, we call on the joke called the Football Association of BiH to calm down its hooligans in the police force. Besides the fact that one of the worst footballs in Europe is played in BiH, you also want to drive away the few of us who watch it. If that is your goal, then shut down this grayness, abolish the entire league. We have lost enough lives, there is no need for more. Every blow you strike makes us stronger... but one of your blows can be fatal, as Aner's was. You never know whom you are hitting on the ground, without feeling or mercy. Perhaps a heart patient, someone with special needs, someone you shouldn't. This is not just a case with us in Zenica; police repression is all over the country, but this Zenica repression borders on the limits of normal. Morally, it no longer exists.
