Regarding the brutal murder of Mirza Raščić, a fan of Football Club Željezničar, the Association of FK Željezničar Fans TM 1987 issued a press release.
- The Association of FK Željezničar Fans TM1987 and the fan group Manijaci wish to inform the public at this difficult time that our brother from the stands tragically died last night in the Association's premises. While the authors of this announcement write in disbelief, as a result of the relentless contact from the media towards individuals and members of the fan group, seeking information about the case itself, we want to inform you that Mirza Raščić was the bright side of Bosnian reality.
Mirza was a 100% fan: he was always the first to organize the fan stands, the first to wave the flag, the first to pay for his away trips, the first to respond to humanitarian actions, the first to prepare his documents for trips to Željo's away games, a fan, like any other, who lit flares and paid fines for doing so.
He was the first smile of the South Stand, and last night he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mirza worked and paid for his ticket, Mirza worked and paid for his away trip, Mirza worked and paid for his coffee at the cafe, Mirza worked and paid for his beer at the restaurant. Mirza was a great guy. Mirza participated in the March of Peace in Srebrenica, participated in the aid action for the affected areas during last year's floods, an activist for collecting aid for people with special needs at the Home in Pazarić.
Just last night, while Mirza was working with his colleagues organizing the travel of FK Željezničar fans to an away game in Vitez, he was treacherously and cold-bloodedly murdered. The funeral for Mirza Raščić will be tomorrow (18.4.2015.) at 2 p.m. at the Vlakovo cemetery.
