In Podhrastovi 22 patients, two on ventilators

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Jasmin Terović, director of the Civil Protection of KS, said that the Civil Protection is carrying out regular activities in the last 24 hours to suppress the spread of the coronavirus.

„We are also taking in people crossing at border crossings and accommodating them in the Bjelave Student Dormitory where 125 people are staying. Four people are in compulsory isolation,“ said Terović.

He added that in the last 24 hours, 77 people were tested in KS, of which 11 are positive.

„22 patients are accommodated in the Podhrastovi clinic, two are on ventilators. 55 people are in home isolation, and a total of 1,690 people have been tested in KS, 92 are positive, including re-tests,“ said Terović.

Taib Delalić, assistant to the mayor Semir Efendić, addressed the press on behalf of the Novi Grad Civil Protection.

„The Municipality of Novi Grad has put all its resources into preventing or suppressing this pandemic. We have one of the better-equipped civil protections and we have provided material and technical support to institutions, the police, the Gerontology Center, and some shopping centers in the form of masks, gloves, and disinfectants,“ said Delalić.

He called on the Civil Protection Headquarters to allow the opening of hairdressing salons while respecting all measures, given that it is not a mass gathering but scheduled appointments.

„We have many inquiries, and in the Novi Grad area alone there are 300 salons, so if it can be considered to open them, because we have to get haircuts somewhere,“ said Delalić.
