Minister Sirovica attends the commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj

(Patria) - Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica attended the ceremonial commemoration of the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj, which was very significant for the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

On November 10, 1993, the 311th Light Brigade Kakanj was formed.
On that day, at 12:00 PM, on the plateau of the Hidrogradnja quarry (village of Pope), in front of the ceremonial formation of soldiers and numerous civilian officials and members of the command of the 3rd Corps of the Army of RBiH, Commander Fadil Imamović reported to the commander of the 3rd Corps of the Army of RBiH, General Mehmed Alagić, that the 311th Light Brigade was assembled and ready to carry out all war tasks.

At the first assembly and ceremonial review, the newly formed 311th Light Brigade, in its organizational and formation structure, had a command, staff and support units, i.e., a sabotage-reconnaissance company, a support company, an engineering platoon and a logistics company, as well as 5 light infantry companies with a total of 964 soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers.

On this occasion, the wartime commander of the brigade, Fadil Imamović, addressed the attendees, and flowers were laid at the Central Memorial to the Martyrs and Fallen Soldiers.
