(Patria) - Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sevlid Hurtić most sharply condemned the brutal attack on Fadil and Ajša Memišević, returnees to the settlement of Omeragići near Višegrad, which occurred on the first day of Ramadan.
"I expect the competent police and judicial institutions in the entity of Republika Srpska to arrest and prosecute the attacker or attackers as soon as possible, and to clarify all circumstances of this horrific event, which has shocked the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Given the specificity of this brutal robbery, which is full of violence, mistreatment and torture of the elderly, and which already has multiple consequences, especially since it happened to returnees and at the beginning of Ramadan, I expect all relevant political actors to clearly distance themselves and condemn this crime.
I am convinced that the hardworking grandfather Fadil and grandmother Ajša, victims of this cowardly act, will recover as soon as possible and return to their home in Omeragići, where they have lived for 22 years from their work after returning.
The Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and I personally, are at your disposal for any kind of assistance to the couple Memišević," the reaction of Minister Hurtić states.
