Merhamet in Mostar hosted an iftar for wartime commanders of the Army and MUP of RBiH

(Patria) - Organized by the Regional and Basic Board of Merhamet Mostar, an iftar was held tonight for the wartime commanders of Mostar units of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The iftar was attended by Deputy Commanders of the 4th Corps of ARBiH Mustafa Isović and Safet Oručević, member of the command of the 4th Corps Šefkija Džiho, as well as commanders of brigades and battalions Esad Humo, Šerif Špago, Šemsudin Hasić, Esad Eminović, Selim Isić, Avdo Idriz, Zijat Mušić, Jasmin Kazazić, Hamid Mutilović, Nijaz Hodžić, Ibrica Ljevo and others.

Also, the heads of the MUP CSB Mostar during the war period, Ramo Masleša and Safet Memić, the retired mufti of Mostar Seid ef. Smajkić, the deputy president of the Association of Recipients of the Highest Wartime Awards "Golden Lily" HNK Osman Pajević, the vice-president of JOB City of Mostar Suad Marić, Alija Behram - editor-in-chief of Radio Mostar - War Studio, as well as the family of the hero of the defensive-liberation war, General Midhad Hujdur Hujka, responded to the iftar.

The director of the Regional Board of Merhamet Mostar, Adnin Hasić, briefly addressed those present, thanking everyone for attending and emphasizing the importance of commanders of ARBiH units gathering together and evoking memories of unity during the most difficult moments of the struggle for the survival of the people and the state.

- Merhamet stood by the people and the Army during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today, in peace, it continues to stand by people in need - said Hasić.

On behalf of those present, Esad Humo addressed the audience, thanking the leadership of Merhamet for the invitation.

- I think we should socialize more often. Perhaps iftars are not the best occasion, as some of us are more or less turned towards faith and of different faiths, but every opportunity is priceless. It is especially important that we meet and socialize in these difficult times when the world and our surroundings are giving birth to uncertainty and problems.

We must be together and be vigilant. And faith and politics, of course, should be present, just as much as they were in the most difficult times when we defended and liberated Mostar - said Humo.

Those present recited Fatiha for all fallen and deceased commanders and members of ARBiH and MUP of RBiH, and the iftar prayer was recited by the retired mufti Seid-ef. Smajkić.
