Kuwaitis want to build a settlement in Jajce

The royal city of Jajce is visited annually by about 15,000 Arabs, confirmed to the Patria News Agency Huso Hadžić, director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce. Kuwaitis and Arabs particularly enjoy Jajce because it is rich in water and peace, and it is known that they do not seek tourist attractions like most Europeans.

- The most frequent and numerous guests in Jajce for longer stays of seven to ten days are precisely Arabs. They come in shifts and stay in motels by the lake, as water is the most attractive to them, as is the greenery. In general, those Arab countries are scarce in water, like we are in oil, and then it is interesting for them to sit by the water and greenery – Hadžić told NAP.

He added that tourists visit the medieval city complex, which was a candidate for the UNESCO list, they also visit beautiful places of worship, old houses, they come to hear the history of a country, visit the temple of the god Mithras – the invincible god of the Sun, and the Esma Sultanija Mosque.

Hadžić also notes that they have had offers from Kuwaitis to build a settlement, given that a large number of them come to Jajce.

- Honestly, together with the mayor, we are working on it. We are also looking for someone to build a good hotel. We have had some unofficial offers for the construction of a settlement, but these are still negotiations. But, it would be very interesting for us. It is possible that Kuwaitis will finance it, but we have to engage more strongly to attract their greater interest – Hadžić added.

Otherwise, Kuwaiti investors have bought almost 160,000 square meters of land in the Hadžići Municipality, in the Osenik – Tarčin area, where they want to build a residential complex with accompanying closed-type common facilities, according to the conceptual design of the Zenica-based company A Eling.
