China dislikes 'foreigners': People of African descent banned from entering a Chinese city

However, the government fears a second wave of infections, which, as stated, could be triggered by arrivals from other countries and asymptomatic carriers of the virus.

This also applies to anyone with 'African contacts' who must immediately undergo testing and quarantine, regardless of whether they have traveled.

City authorities have ordered African Americans and anyone who has been in contact with people of African descent to avoid this city, writes Reuters. This is at least an inappropriate measure, given that African countries are currently the least affected compared to other continents.
